Concordia est une université urbaine établie sur deux campus comptant près 46 000 étudiants et 7 000 membres du corps professoral et du personnel administratif. Le parc immobilier de l’Université Concordia est constitué de quelque 60 édifices localisés au centre-ville de Montréal (SGW) et au Campus Loyola dans le quartier Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. Les Services d'enseignement et de technologie de l'information (IITS) gèrent deux centres de données (un sur chaque campus) qui hébergent l'infrastructure TI qui prend en charge les services informatiques centralisés qui sont essentiels à la mission de l'université. L'importance de ces applications nécessite que ces installations soient sécurisées, résilientes et performantes afin d'assurer la continuité des activités de l'ensemble des services académiques, de recherche et administratifs. L'équipement de stockage désuet (qui approchent ou qui sont en fin de vie utile) doivent être remplacés pour assurer / améliorer la sécurité et la fiabilité du réseau. Aussi, la capacité est insuffisante pour répondre à la demande à court et moyen terme. Dans ce contexte, Concordia cherche à se procurer du stockage pour les deux centres de données qui doivent avoir une capacité brute de 800 Tio net (minimum) par campus (ref Annexe 18). L'objectif principal de ces appareils est de stocker des données qui sont principalement de nature séquentielle
