Privacy policy

This policy describes how the service actually works at the time of publication.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you create an account. Lauréo asks for no name, company, IP address, phone number or browser fingerprint.
  • Your saved searches and, if you enable an alert, the monitored filter, the date and surface of your consent, the processing cursor and the technical state of digests. These remain attached to your account and are not used for advertising profiles.
  • An anonymous visitor identifier, stored in a cookie on your device. It is a random number with no link to your identity: it serves only to count how many distinct public buyers have been viewed from this browser during the month.
  • The public buyers you view, attached to that identifier or to your account. That is what makes the monthly limit work.

No data is sold, exchanged or passed to a third party for advertising. Lauréo uses no third-party analytics tool.

Why

  • The email address is used to sign you in (by single-use link, without a password) and, if you consent separately for a search, to send its weekly alert.
  • Saved searches, consent and digest state are used only to select the requested new notices, prevent duplicates, retry a bounded failure and prove withdrawal.
  • The view count is used to apply the free monthly limit, and for nothing else.

For how long

  • Anonymous views: deleted 90 days after the end of the month they belong to.
  • Sign-in links, and the follow requested with one where applicable: valid for 15 minutes, single use, deleted 7 days after expiry. The follow is only created if you confirm it when you come back.
  • Sessions: 30 days, deleted 30 days after expiry.
  • Account, saved searches, alert consents and digest state: kept as long as you keep the account. Deleting the account erases them together, under the restore protection described on the account page.

Cookies

  • A visitor cookie, anonymous, which makes it possible to count the month's views. It expires at the end of the current month, at the exact moment the monthly limit resets — never before, never after.
  • A session cookie, if you are signed in. It lasts as long as your session.
  • A language cookie, if you chose French or English. It identifies no one and lasts 400 days.
  • A theme cookie, if you chose the light or dark appearance. It identifies no one and lasts for one year.
  • A scope cookie, which remembers the last scope viewed (Quebec or federal, for example) so the menu and the lists reopen that regime. It identifies no one and lasts 400 days.

These five cookies are necessary for the service to work and serve no advertising tracking. Lauréo sets no third-party cookie.

Your rights (Quebec Law 25)

  • Withdraw consent to an alert: a switch beside every saved search, as simple as giving it was, plus a public link in every email that disables every alert on the account.
  • Delete your account: a button on your account page. Your request is recorded immediately. Erasing your address, your saved searches and your viewing history is carried out as soon as restore protections can guarantee they will not reappear.
  • Access or correct your information: write to us — your account page already shows everything we hold about you.
