how it's calculated — Closing time
Closing time — where the number comes from
- The calculation
- The time comes from the official CanadaBuys page, which gives the time zone: “2026/10/16 14:00 EDT”. The open dataset publishes “2026-10-16T14:00:00”, with no time zone. Comparison of the two sources: Ambiguous comparison: at least one source does not establish an instant.
- What goes in
- Lauréo never infers a time zone. The time is shown only if the official page gives its own, the two sources do not conflict and the day matches the published closing date; the day is Montréal's.
